Multi-channel footwear business Pavers has acquired 14
Barratts outlets from the administrators including some in the Channel Islands,
Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and London. It is not clear yet whether Pavers has also
secured or licensed the rights to the Barratts website from the third party who
is understood to have separately acquired Barratt’s intellectual property
(which includes the brands and the website). The Pavers move saves 150 jobs,
but 42 remaining Barratts shops were closed between Christmas and New Year.
