Studio.co.uk, which positions itself as the UK’s largest multi-range digital value retailer has reported a record month of sales, with 12 per cent YOY increase in the 10 weeks running up to Black Friday, the strongest in the retailer’s history.
As value continues to be a priority for the nation’s shoppers, Studio has seen a strong return on the trend of personalised gifts, by offering a free service. Some 3,000 Christmas decorations were personalised in just one day, as well as pyjamas, stationery and other decorations. The week leading up to Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend saw a peak of more than 64,000 items being personalised on one day.
The 20 per cent year on year increase in website visitors has put the value retailer in good stead to see its strongest Christmas performance to date, following an equally successful Black Friday, with over 25 per cent more online orders compared to the 2017 shopping event.
With many negative reports about the state of the nation’s retail sector as many others struggle to stay on track, the Findel owned brand is bucking the trend and has grown its registered customer base by over half a million in the last few years.
Paul Kendrick, Managing Director of Express Gifts Ltd, said: “We have made a number of investments in our technology infrastructure and product ranges, as well as expanding our workforce in recent months and this is certainly bringing us a strong return.
“We have been able to spot trends and match if not, beat our competitors when it comes to value, which is what keeps our customers coming back. People love to feel like a gift has been bought specifically with them in mind, which is why our free personalisation service performs so well.
“With a few weeks to go until the big day, we are confident this will be the biggest Christmas season we have ever seen.”
Express Gifts Ltd., owned by Findel plc and trading under Studio.co.uk, is an online personal shopping service with flexible payment options. It stocks over 60,000 products, including clothing, homeware and gifts.
