Online retailer Plumbworld has been acquired by Highbourne Group. Backed by HIG Capital, Highbourne Group primarily trades as City Plumbing Supplies and Plumbing Trade Supplies, having acquired Travis Perkins’ plumbing and heating business in 2021.
Plumbworld was founded in 1999 and has over 150 employees focused on its online business. Highbourne sells primarily via 350 trade counters as well as servicing a degree of low volume online activity. When merged with Plumbworld, Highbourne will immediately benefit from a boost to its business as it seeks to expand in the UK and Ireland
Highbourne CEO Dave Evans said: “We are delighted to welcome Plumbworld into the Highbourne Group and see the business as highly complementary to our existing customer propositions.
