Administrator PricewaterhouseCoopers has failed to find a buyer for certain Polestar sites as going concerns and has announced the closures of the Sheffield web and gravure sites resulting in the loss of c 550 jobs. A small number of staff will be retained to decommission the equipment. Polestar’s competitors report a flow of publishers seeking alternative suppliers for high volume contracts in what has briefly become a sellers’ market.
