Word is that Shein – which has itself been accused by numerous brands, including H&M and many independents, of blatant copying of their original product designs – filed a lawsuit (London’s High Court in August) against its fast growing rival Temu. Shein claims that it has evidence that Temu sellers have copied Shein produced images to sell their products and is demanding that all of the offending listings are removed.
This action follows Temu’s US lawsuit against Shein, filed in July, in which it accused Shein of pressurising suppliers not to work with the Temu marketplace.
