Poundworld acquired by TPG


Poundworld is now set to extend its store chain following the acquisition by TPG of a majority stake in the discount retailer. The deal valued at £150 million leaves founder Chris Edwards and his son, along with other members of the Poundworld business retain a minority equity stake.  Other TPG investments include that of Victoria Plumb.
