Oak Furnitureland has been acquired by Davidson Kempner Capital Management in a deal orchestrated by Deloitte. The retailer had, in common with many others, struggled with the loss of sales during lockdown whilst its 105 showrooms were closed.
Under the terms of the deal, all c1400 staff are transferred to the new ownership including CEO Alex Fisher, with stores starting to re-open tomorrow.
