Following its recent London Stock Market flotation, specialist kitchenware retailer ProCook has announced the opening of two new stores – one in Westfield London and one in Westfield Stratford City. The move is in line with the brand’s plans to expand its UK retail portfolio by targeting destination retail centres.
The Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City stores occupy 1600 and 1450 sq ft spaces respectively, and feature ProCook’s trademark light and airy store design, with areas for customers to try products before they buy and fully experience the range of products the brand has to offer from cookware and kitchen accessories to tableware.
In recent months ProCook has opened several new stores across the UK in premium retail destinations including Bluewater, Kent, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol and a flagship store on Tottenham Court Road, Central London. The flagship London store includes a mezzanine level which houses the brand new ProCook Cookery School – a bright, tailor-made space designed specifically for running cookery classes in person and online via state of the art video streaming technology.
Each store is creating 12 new jobs and the openings take ProCook’s total UK store count to 55.
Procook’s Retail Director Andy Kerr said: “Westfield is a global heavyweight in premium shopping centres and we’re thrilled to be opening London stores there this Christmas. These openings complete an exciting year of expansion into destination retail centres and demonstrate our confidence in the value of in-person, physical retail as part of our multi-channel strategy. We’re excited to see what these stores at Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City can achieve and look forward to welcoming shoppers from across London.”
Kate Orwin, UK Leasing Director at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, commented: “The addition of ProCook at our London centres aligns with our commitment to bring exciting new lifestyle brands to our customers, and complements our extensive home and interior offer. In addition to a growing number of local residents within the primary catchments of our centres, we are noticing an increase in demand for kitchenware and cookware products driven by health-conscious millennials, so we are delighted to be able to meet consumers’ individual needs with ProCook’s functional and stylish offer.”
