QVC UK’s revenue inched up 1 percent in local currency in
the first quarter primarily due to sales in the home and beauty categories, but
offset by lower jewellery sales. QVC UK also experienced a 3 percent decline in
the number of units sold and a 6 percent drop in operating income (OIBDA).
QVC’s total international revenue, which includes sales in Italy, Germany,
Japan and China, decreased 2 percent in the first quarter to $677 million.
