Reviews.io which was launched in 2012 and has some 8000 clients and sales of around £10m has been sold to AppHub, a US technology firm.
The deal will see Reviews.io co-founder Calum McKeefery remain as CEO of the Leicester-based business which has 80 employees spread between its UK base and offices in Australia, Germany and California. McKeefery will also join the AppHub board.
The decision to sell came about to enable McKeefery and his co-founder and wife Nicole Albano with time and resources for their young son who has a debilitating genetic condition. Albano stepped down from the business in 2017 to care for their son.
