Sage partners with Actinic

Sage, the accounting systems provider, has teamed up with eCommerce platform provider Oxatis Group, which trades as Actinic in the UK, to launch Ecommerce for Sage 50 Accounts. The product is designed to make trading online easier for small and medium-sized businesses

According to Sage, only 1.6 million (less than one in three) firms in the UK actively trade online and over half of the nation’s small and medium-sized firms currently lack the capacity to accept online payments..

When combined with Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Pay, eCommerce for Sage 50 Accounts offers an expanded range of add-on features to the core product, designed to address the changing ecommerce needs of UK businesses. As the only all-in-one ecommerce solution for small and medium-sized firms, it offers businesses a professional, integrated website that automatically processes online orders and payments, while keeping stock levels and Sage 50 Accounts information up to date.

“eCommerce for Sage 50 Accounts is an exciting initiative in this space, delivering an ecommerce solution for any business, whether it’s an online clothing retailer, a DIY or bespoke website or even a multi-channel firm selling through other online marketplaces like eBay or Amazon,” said Marc Schillaci, CEO, Actinic.

Lee Perkins, Managing Director of Sage UK and Ireland commented: “Trading online is vital for a business to flourish. For small and medium-sized businesses in particular, a digital presence can be transformative, empowering firms to find new markets, sell more products, and increase revenue. Without a well-designed and mobile friendly website or an online marketplace, it’s very difficult for many firms to grow revenue.
