Screwfix Screwfix is celebrating the opening of its 500th UK store with a customer prize draw offering £500,000 of prizes. All customers are entered into the draw every time they make a purchase – whether online or in-store – and have a chance of winning prizes which include England Football tickets, laptops, tools and a Toyota Pro-Ace. Graham Smith, marketing director, said “This is our biggest giveaway ever. Reaching 500 stores is a real achievement for our business and we want to share the celebration with our customers.”
Screwfix has helped parent company Kingfisher to increase revenues and profitability for the year to 31st January. Kingfisher posted overall annual revenues of £11.2 billion, up by 7.5 per cent over the previous year. A further 200 Screwfix store openings are planned over the coming two years.
