Seasalt reports buoyant Christmas

The lifestyle fashion retailer has reported that its sales increased by 35 per cent year-on-year in the five weeks ending 5 January, with online sales up by 39 per cent. It also saw in-store sales climb by 31 per cent, with like-for-like sales up 9 per cent.

The retailer said that maintaining a full-price strategy and delaying discounting were key to its increased sales.

Seasalt chief executive Paul Hayes said: “Thanks to more Seasalt customers shopping online and in-store, we have had another fantastic festive season. Our online offer continues to grow impressively, but I’m especially pleased with our 9 per cent like-for-like sales growth in our stores, which is the 3rd year in a row we have had positive like-for-like growth in this period.”
