Word is that Shein, keen to suppress negative sentiment about its use of low-cost Chinese sweatshops for its ranges, is to switch some of its production to Turkey. British brands have been vocal in their criticism of Shein, which currently ships orders direct-to-consumer from China, thereby avoiding import tax and duty and being able to significantly undercut them.
