It is being suggested that the Barclay family which owns Shop Direct in addition to other interests, maybe considering a sale of the home shopping business which was created from Littlewoods. With pre-tax losses of £185.5 million for the year ended June 30th 2019, mostly attributable to PPI claims connected with its consumer credit offering, Shop Direct recorded sales of £1.99 billion for the period.
