The Happy Puzzle Company has been acquired by SMART, known for brands including SMARTGAMES, SMARTMAX and Happy Cube. The deal will bring The Happy Puzzle Company into SMART’s growing portfolio and will spread distribution through SMART’s extensive worldwide network.
Gavin Ucko will stay on as CEO together with the entire Happy Puzzle team who will continue to operate from the existing Elstree base. He said “Smart and Happy Puzzle have already been working together for more than 20 years and the synergies between the two companies are clear. It’s incredibly exciting and the whole of the Happy Puzzle family is both proud and excited to be joining SMART’s wonderful team.”
SMART’s global CEO, Rolf Vandoren said; “Many of the great puzzles and games developed by The Happy Puzzle Company will find their way to many more families of puzzle fans through the SMARTGAMES brand’s wide international presence.”
