Smiffy’s, which as a large scale UK supplier of costumes, wigs and accessories, employs over 50 warehouse pickers to fulfil between two and two and half million products every month, will implement Voxware’s Voice Management Suite from August. This is in preparation for Smiffy’s busiest season which commences in October and sees it fulfil orders to over 40 countries in addition to the UK.
The use of voice technology enables fulfilment centres to eliminate auditors and shorten the picking sequence as well as reduce training time. Like Smiffy’s the goal is to improve order picking accuracy and operational efficiency to achieve greater customer satisfaction and increased loyalty.
