Smurfit Kappa has acquired corrugated packaging specialist Atlas Packaging which is a supplier of gift boxing and related products to the retail and eCommerce sector.
Eddie Fellows, chief executive of Smurfit Kappa UK said: “I am delighted with this acquisition and to welcome another strong professional management team into the Smurfit Kappa organisation. This business has an established customer base across several industries and an excellent reputation.”
Jason Sharman, general manager of Atlas Packaging added: “We are delighted to now be a part of a world-class organisation in Smurfit Kappa. Atlas has been a North Devon success story creating hundreds of jobs and expanding to four sites in Barnstaple and Bridgwater. Our thanks go to our outgoing chairman Adrian Gamble for his vision in establishing the firm in 1983.”
