According to reports, Sports Direct is seeking a buyer for its 97 year lease on the Piccadilly Circus Lillywhites store which it has owned since 2002. The original Lillywhites store was founded back in 1863. Sports Direct, which recently rebranded as Frasers, is understood to be in rent negotiations with its landlord Criterion Capital. Additionally, the retail chain is understood to be negotiating turnover based rents for its other stores.
