After announcing operating losses of £31.8 million in the 26
weeks to 28th October, HMV has confirmed that its UK and Ireland
MD is stepping down. Steve Knott was appointed to the
group board in 2005, and steps down by mutual consent. Simon
Fox, chief executive office, will additionally become
managing director HMV UK and Ireland, pending the appointment of
a permanent successor.
