John Pye Auctions has opened in Bo’Ness, near Edinburgh having acquired family auctioneer firm DJ Manning. This comes as John Pye opens a Luxury Assets auction room in Old Bond Street to create a chain of seventeen auction rooms which are used by major retailers such as John Lewis to clear graded and ungraded stock, primarily customer returns and ex-display items. During the past year the business held over 450 auctions, managing 45,000 pallets of clearance stock for 80 per cent of the top ten names in retail.
