Strong growth at Ironmongery Direct

Ironmongery Direct has achieved its sixth year of consecutive
growth, with turnover up 25 percent to £12.5 million in
2010. Pretax profit doubled to £1 million during the period.
Ironmongery Direct saw online sales surge 40 percent during the
period, now accounting for more than a third of turnover.
Managing director Wayne Lysaght-Mason says the company is on
track to reach turnover of £50 million in four years’
time.

To support its continued growth, Ironmongery Direct has created
an operational board comprising five existing members of the
company’s main board of directors as well as three new members.
Paul White, head of product development; Alan Josiah, head of
customer fulfilment and Stuart Wilson, head of marketing, will
join managing director Wayne Lysaght-Mason; executive directors
Chris Bass and Paul Hunt, and nonexecutive directors David Porter
and John Allan.
