Strong online performance drives Findel sales

Year-on-year group sales at Findel plc have increased by 35 per
cent for the first three months of the year. In the company’s AGM
trading statement it also announced that like-for-like sales in
its home shopping division increased by 12 per cent against the
same period last year. Findel has seen a strong performance from
the internet, with the web accounting for more than 50 per cent
of divisional sales. Overall, total home shopping division sales
for the first three months are 68 per cent ahead of last year’s.
Findel says that a refreshed product range, improved service and
enhanced marketing are helping to grow the educational supplies
division, sales of which have grown seven per cent from last
year. Sales in its healthcare division are up by eight per cent.
Findel’s brands include Express Gifts, The Cotswold Company and
