Barmans, the family run online seller of bar, cocktail and catering equipment via its website Drinkstuff is now in the hands of the founders’ son Scott Bowskill and key management team Paul Lochhead, Stuart Goode and Kelly Easter.
Established in 1977, the business developed a strong niche with one of the UK’s first trading websites – barmans.co.uk which was aimed at the catering trades including bars, restaurants, pubs, and hotels. This was followed by a further site – this time for the growing number of consumers wishing to buy for parties and special occasions. Drinkstuff.com has evolved to offer all of the “must-haves” in bar and cocktail lines from glassware to “beer helmets”.
With a dedicated buying team the profitable Company adds some 1000 new products to its range every year and in its most recent financial year achieved sales of £7.1 million. Founders Anne and Barry Bowskill have now retired.
