Superdry exploring outsourcing options

Superdry is reportedly reviewing the best way forward for its eCommerce sales operation. It is said to be holding preliminary talks with third-party service providers who can support the growth of its online channel without requiring it to fund further investment in technology and headcount.

Outsourcing is fast growing in the current market as it enables retailers to focus on the key elements of their offer – like developing great products and effective marketing campaigns, rather than getting bogged down in the minutiae and expense associated with systems upgrades, re-platforming,  and management of the order fulfilment and returns process.

While Superdry is in talks with Shopify, no mention has been made of other vendors – of which there is a number in the UK – being considered.
