Superdry turning the corner

Superdry turning the corner

Superdry’s founder & chief executive Julian Dunkerton has said that the business is recovering well from the disruption caused by the pandemic with improved trading across its retail channels for the eight weeks to 23rd October. It had focused on maintaining full price going into the Autumn and sales had gathered momentum in October. Notably, its eCommerce revenues were up by 6.6 per cent on pre-pandemic levels but supply chain delays had adversely impacted its wholesale performance.

Dunkerton commented; “As consumers continue to return to stores, I am really excited about the opening of our new flagship store in Oxford Street on November 10th which will be a big statement about the future of the brand, offering the broadest range of sustainable product in our portfolio.”

The London store will also act as the base for Superdry’ wholesale showroom and its influencer programme.
