UK Mail which moved into a new purpose built head office and central hub in Coventry from Birmingham last month has warned that initial problems with its bespoke fully automated sorting installation will reduce its profits. The carrier said that the system proved not be able to handle a large volume of parcel types which the business regularly handles for its customers. UK Mail has long term contracts in place with clients like O2 and TalkTalk as well as with a large number of direct commerce businesses. It also operates a online parcel collection and delivery service for smaller users via its ipostparcels platform.
