Tesco has sold the Dobbies Garden Centres business to an investment group led by Midlothian Capital Partners and Hattington Capital for £217 million. Andrew Bracey of Midlothian Capital was previously Ocado’s CFO and it is understood that Dobbies is poised to launch a market leading online offering in addition to extending its 35 strong network of garden centres.
