Tesco is shedding 800 jobs at Harlow, 650 at Weybridge, 400
at Chesterfield and 150 at Magor, but will create 2,000 jobs at new Reading and
Dagenham “super hubs”, reports the Guardian. The move is a cost cutting
exercise as well as part of Tesco’s aim to reduce its carbon footprint, notes
the piece.
