Cornishware which had relied upon Royal Stafford for the manufacture of its distinctive bisque ware has acquired the machinery used by the now-defunct pottery business and has taken on 17 former members of the Royal Stafford staff. This, along with an arrangement with the landlord of the former Royal Stafford factory has enabled production to recommence.
Royal Stafford had been in business since 1845 and had supplied TG Green since 2017. Business is already coming from former Royal Stafford customers and the new owner is hopeful of a successful re-start.
