The Specialist Works acquires The Response Team


The Specialist Works Group has acquired Bath-based media buying and sales agency, The Response Team.

The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, creates a unique agency catering for the needs of multi-channel retail and eCommerce brands. The combined business, with 2015 forecast billings of over £80m, will offer its clients scalable and accountable offline media solutions to drive online response.

The Specialist Works Group is ranked (by RAR) as London’s number one independent marketing agency and consists of four stand-alone companies encompassing Print, Digital, Broadcast and Creative. The Response Team’s offering will boost all media capabilities, notably in TV media buying for eCommerce clients and parcel insert sales (such as Amazon and Toys R Us), cementing the group position as UK’s number one insert volume booker.

The combined agency now works for brands such as Ocado, Dyson, Amazon, Photobox, Multiyork and Cotton Traders.
