Horticultural cataloguer Thompson & Morgan has acquired
Guernsey-based Rainbow Flowers. The acquisition means that
Thompson & Morgan can now market flowers and gifts alongside its
traditional seeds and plants offering.
Rainbow will continue to trade under its own name with current
managing director Carol Jenson at its helm. She said, “We
have known the people at Thompson & Morgan for several years and
felt it was the best possible outcome for Rainbow.”
Thompson & Morgan’s group sales in the year to 30th June 2007
were £39.4 million. John May, chief executive said that
profit-wise, the group was expecting a “significant
improvement” over the 2006 EBITDA figure of £2.7
million.
