New Look founder Tom Singh, who is currently commercial director for the business, will assume the role of chairman whilst a replacement for Alistair McGeorge is found. McGeorge, who is rumoured to have been recruited by Woolworths in Australia , is credited for his contribution to the turnaround of the primarily UK based fashion chain which is now also exploring a number of international markets .
