Topshop expands global reach

When London-based fashion retailer Topshop opened its first US
store in April, consumers and the media greeted it with an
enthusiasm bordering on adulation. But the US isn’t alone in its
lust for the British brand. In response to what Topshop describes
as “huge demand” among visitors to its website and
Facebook page, the company’s UK ecommerce site will now ship to
consumers in Austria, Belgium, Finland, Greece, New Zealand,
Norway, and Switzerland. It already shipped to Australia, France,
Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Sweden.

And Topshop.com is continuing to explore additional markets.
“We’ve listened to our customers, many of whom make regular
pilgrimages to our Oxford Circus flagship, and look forward to
expanding into other territories in the future,” Kate
Walmsley, head of ecommerce, said in a statement.
