Trojan Electronics supports series of household names launch on Tesco Marketplace

Trojan Electronics, the multi-channel eCommerce expert, has partnered with a host of household name brands, across a number of FMCG categories, to support their listings on Tesco’s new marketplace eCommerce store.

The [Swansea-based] business is one of a small number of third party logistics (3PL) partners chosen by the big four supermarket for the relaunch of its marketplace website. Trojan’s proprietary technology and seamless marketplace integration enables FMCG businesses that do not have direct-to-consumer (D2C) capabilities to list their products on its network of online marketplaces.

Trojan is able to pick, pack and dispatch individual items on behalf of its brands and fulfil thousands of orders each day. Its flexible and scalable infrastructure allows manufacturers to sell directly to end customers, opening up additional revenue streams for brands, and allowing them to sell through the world’s biggest eCommerce stores.

Tesco Marketplace, which relaunched on 4 June, gives shoppers the ability to buy a range of products from third-party sellers alongside their grocery shopping on the Tesco.com website.

James Rigg, CEO at Trojan Electronics, said: “The return of Tesco’s marketplace is an exciting prospect and being chosen to work with them is a real privilege. We want to support household brands that are unable to sell directly to customers through their own system list with the UK’s biggest online retailers. Trojan offers brands quick and easy access to these websites, giving them the opportunity to reach millions more customers, while also ensuring that the right operations are in place to cope with the levels of demand.

“Few 3PL companies truly have the systems required for successful integrations of consecutive marketplaces at once, however, Trojan is able to manage multi-channel inventory, order management and shipping seamlessly. We’re excited to introduce such a diverse range of products to the Tesco website for its launch, and look forward to expanding the range of FMCG brands we’re able to support even further in the coming months.”
