Trouble at Oddbins

Trouble at Oddbins

The parent company of Oddbins has confirmed that is has called on advisors to help it consider its options including a potential administration, which could see the closure of around a hundred outlets with resultant job losses. A notice of intention to appoint Duff & Phelps as administrators has been filed and the business will continue to trade whilst the best way forward is assessed. Other businesses operated by European Food Brokers are not believed to be at immediate risk.

This action comes as a result of Oddbins generating below forecast Christmas sales whilst grappling with increased overheads.
