Saint-Gobain has announced the completion of the sale of its UK merchant brands to STARK Group. The brands include Jewson, Gibbs & Dandy, JP Corry, and International Timber.
STARK Group now has some 20,000 employees across around 1150 builders’ merchant outlets, specialist stockists, and distribution centres.
STARK’s group CEO, Soren Olesen said: “We are very pleased to have completed this acquisition in great time, having announced the deal in mid-December. We very much look forward to welcoming nearly 9,000 colleagues and many new tradespeople to our customer list in the UK”.
John Carter takes over as CEO of the acquired businesses.
