Sports Direct has made its first US acquisitions. It has added the fifty outlets of Bob’s Stores and Eastern Mountain Sports from Eastern Outfitters. The US retailer which was founded in 1954 had filed for bankruptcy in February. Sports Direct has paid c£78 million for the stores which have sold sports and outdoor clothing along with camping equipment.
