Very has drawn on its own marketing and creative capabilities for a new autumn campaign designed to encourage customers to explore more of its department-store range.
The retailer’s brand team and internal agency, HelloStudio, led the creative development. External partners remained involved, with Production Factory supporting film production and Zenith responsible for media planning and buying.
The campaign brings together more than 20 brands, including Mango, Samsung, Nintendo, Nike and ghd, alongside messaging about Very’s payment options. It introduces the endline “that’s the Very thing”.
A 30-second television advert uses the retailer’s cube logo to take viewers through its product offering, accompanied by Jamiroquai’s Canned Heat. Supporting activity spans video-on-demand, radio, social media, press and online.
Sam Wright, chief customer and commercial officer at The Very Group, said the campaign aimed to broaden customers’ understanding of the retailer’s range and give them more reasons to shop.
The project illustrates how Very is combining internal creative resources with specialist external support. Neither campaign performance figures nor production cost savings were disclosed in the launch coverage.
