Very.co.uk has signed a deal with Channel 5 to become a key show
partner for Big Brother. The partnership launched this month on
Celebrity Big Brother and will continue later in the year with
the next Big Brother series.
Very is supplying selected products for the house, including home
and electrical goods, dressing gowns and pink suitcases. A key
element of the deal is the “click to buy” page on
Channel5.com, which offers users the chance to buy the Very items
seen in the Big Brother house.
The deal also includes branded editorial integration, whereby
housemates will be set a task which will involve interacting with
Very.co.uk products.
Very was one of the winners this Christmas. Group-wide sales at
Shop Direct were up 5 percent in the six-week period to 29th
December. Chief executive Alex Baldock said in statement that the
company’s performance over the Christmas period provides “a
solid foundation for us to build on as we accelerate our
trajectory to become a world-class digital department
store.”
