Victoria Plum grows its revenues

Online bathroom products retailer Victoria Plum grew its sales to £113.6m for the year ended 28 February 2022, up from £99.1m for the prior year. Its pre-tax profit had, however, fallen to £736,000 from £1.58m.

During the year the business invested in the ongoing development of its website and developing its team. It also focused on improving its offering for trade customers and forming a design and full installation service. 4000 new product lines were introduced with the business investing further in its own brands which include The Bath Co., Mode and Orchard.

CEO Paul McClenaghan commented: “We made pleasing progress over the course of the year despite it being made challenging by the exceptional increases in freight costs.

“This impacted our profitability, but it did not stop us from continuing to implement our long-term sustainable growth plan by further investing in our people, processes, technologies and products.”
