Watches of Switzerland posted an increase in its UK revenues of 10.6 per cent, with like-for-like up by 11 per cent, for the half year to October 27th in which it had opened one new store and refurbished six others whilst relocating three of its shops. UK performance also benefited from a 12 per cent uplift in online sales. The US market had also generated growth and contributed £111.1 million of the group’s total revenue of £428.7 million for the period.
Group CEO Brian Duffy said: “I am delighted to report our first half year results as a listed business. Strong progress was made in both the UK and US markets as we continue to deliver on our growth plans. Our omnichannel strategy continues as we expand our mono-brand programme in the UK along with mono-brand openings planned in the US, expansions in UK Travel retail and continued momentum online.”
