Waterstones is understood to be seeking to make a number of its head office staff redundant. It has entered into consultation with staff. The bookseller has also confirmed that it will not be reopening some of its stores. It has said that campus branches, as well as some city-centre locations, were not high enough, however, online sales had grown during the lockdown period.
