Webb Ivory unveils new identity

Webb Ivory, which has a background in creating and managing mail
order solutions for charities has created a new corporate
identity and is to be called Webb Ivory DM. The move builds on
the company’s existing business model but extends it into new
sectors, particularly retail and niche mail order. In 2006, Webb
Ivory took on the Norfolk Lavender home shopping business under
licence. Webb Ivory DM has said that over the Christmas 2006
period the catalogue enjoyed a substantial lift in trading
performance and further initiatives are planned for 2007 to
generate additional revenues in addition to the cost savings
already created from the partnership. Webb Ivory DM now offer two
types of services. Firstly private label agreements whereby Webb
Ivory DM develops and trades under a third party brand. Secondly
managed solutions, whereby Webb Ivory DM effectively becomes the
home shopping “division” for third party companies,
notably retailers. This option allows the brand to retain product
and marketing control over its home shopping trading, but gives
the opportunity to avoid internal infrastructure and reduce fixed
costs. Over the coming months, high profile client announcements
are expected in the retail, mail order and entertainment sectors.
