WH Smith has acquired Devon based Cult Pens, an online retailer of pens from its founder Simon Walker. Cult Pens was founded in 2005 to sell specialist pens and refills individually rather than in multipacks and has developed a loyal customer base.
A spokesperson from WH Smith said: “WH Smith has acquired CultPens.com, a leading online specialist pen retailer as part of our strategy of growing the stationery category. CultPens.com will complement both our existing High Street stores and whsmith.co.uk stationery ranges and customer offer.”
It is understood that the business will continue to operate from Tiverton in Devon under its current management team.
