Whalley exits Royal Mail

Royal Mail confirmed in a statement that Sue Whalley its CEO for Post and Parcels has stepped down from its board. The move is seen by some to be controversial as it makes way for Group CEO Rico Back to assume the commercial responsibility for Post and Parcels, in addition to his wider role, and for Keith Williams to become deputy chairman.

Sue Whalley who joined Royal Mail twelve years ago commented: “Following all we have done to move the organisation forward in recent years and to implement change to position Royal Mail as a leader in eCommerce, now is the time to move on. I would like to thank my many colleagues – front-line and management – who have helped me in my time at Royal Mail.”
