Whistl is strengthening its fulfilment and contact centre management team, with the appointment of Jon Stockton. In his new role as director fulfilment and contact centres (South), he’ll lead the Northampton, Rushden and Farnborough sites.
He joins from FedEx, having been with the company for 26 years – most recently serving as VP ground operations UK. He started his management career at TNT Express and his experience includes building and leading high performing teams in the logistics, fulfilment and depot operations areas.
Jon’s appointment coincides with a restructure of Whistl’s overall management team, with Kevin Read (bottom left) promoted to the role of director fulfilment and contact centres (North) covering all facilities and operations in the North of the country.
They will report into managing director Noel Lambert, who also has responsibility for the online retail platform, Ethical Superstore.
Whistl has invested significantly in fulfilment and contact centres in the past year, including a new warehouse in Northampton and the acquisition of Clientbase Fulfilment in December.
The company now has eight fulfilment warehouses across the UK, totalling over 1 million sqft of fulfilment space and over 500 seat contact centre capability.
Nick Wells, CEO of Whistl said: “We are delighted that Jon has joined the team and congratulate Kevin on his promotion. Together with Noel, they will continue to drive our growth and success in the fulfilment and contact centre markets. We are actively seeking additional capacity to service the growth of existing clients and our new eCommerce clients.”
