Whistl Fulfilment, part of delivery management group Whistl, is celebrating the first anniversary of the acquisition of Prism DM in 2017 by announcing its strategic investment plans.
It plans to extend its Rushden depot with a further 60,000 sq ft of operational space to manage future growth and is also announcing the appointments of Mark Elwood as commercial director for the Rushden and Farnborough based business.
Mark joins the division from DK Group and has extensive experience of the European fulfilment and warehousing sectors having previously worked with Fedex across Europe.
In the past year Whistl Fulfilment has seen impressive growth among existing customers including Brand Alley as well as adding a client a month across the beauty, electronics, luxury goods and charity sectors.
With the backing of its parent company, it has broadened the range of goods it can handle for customers. By investing in the expansion of the Rushden depot, Whistl Fulfilment is now able to attract new clients such as Box.co.uk, which has over 150,000 product lines listed on its website.
Whistl Fulfilment is part of the Whistl Group, the leading delivery management group with activities in Business Mail, Doordrop Media, Fulfilment and Parcels and which recently acquired privately held Nottingham based Parcelhub and its sister company Mail Workshop in June.
Lieneke Happel, Managing Director of Whistl Fulfilment, said:
“Wow, what a year we have had – we are firing on all cylinders. Growing existing and winning customers; investing in the business so we can expand the range of services we can offer; bringing in new talent to take us forward as a key driver of the future growth of our parent company, Whistl. We have an amazing team in Farnborough and Rushton and we look forward to an equally exciting and ambitious second year.”
Jamie Wadhams, COO, SportPursuit, commented:
“In the past year they have been able to continue to support our growth, enabling us to move physical warehouse location with minimal business impact. The best compliment I can make is that I feel they are part of the team, rather than external partner.”
