Whistl hits Gold in Global Supplier CSR Rating

Whistl has risen to a Gold ranking from Ecovadis, the international platform which evaluates companies on their environmental performance and corporate social responsibility.

In only four years of assessment, the company has risen through the grading system and is now in the top 5 per cent of all companies rated by EcoVadis. The Gold status was achieved in the year that the company outlined its strategy to achieve Net Zero by 2045.

Ecovadis is an online evaluation tool that enables procurement professionals to compare suppliers in terms of sustainability, environment and social and ethical work and also have access to view live any changes or improvements.

Nick Wells, Executive Chairman Whistl, said: “I am delighted that our focus on operating ethically and sustainably has been rewarded by the Ecovadis Gold rating. Each year we have made progress and reaching the top 5 per cent of all companies rated and reflects the hard work of the whole team. We are not complacent and will continue to strive to operate at the highest standards.

Gareth Hughes, Business Services & ESG Director, added: “We are delighted to have received Gold status. It shows our customers, employees and suppliers very clearly how important ESG is to Whistl”.

Irene Boctor, Head of ESG, commented: “This is a step towards our goal of continuous improvement. It is a testament to the sustainability journey we are in and the hard work our colleagues have put into this.”
