Whistl, formerly known as TNT Post, has withdrawn its plans to launch its own daily postal delivery services in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Birmingham. It will instead focus on developing other areas of its business. Whistl has current direct delivery services operating in London, Liverpool and Manchester. The news has provided a filip for Royal Mail’s share price as Whistl’s aborted expansion plans plans could have significantly threatened Royal Mail’s volumes and revenues.
